MYTH: It will all be easier when they’re older.

How many times have you heard this BS?

“Everything will be easier when the kids get older.”

Anyone else still waiting for this to magically happen? How old are we talking? 18? 21?

This mentality is a bunch of 💩. And here’s why.

1. Every age has it’s challenges.
Maybe your kids are more independent as they get older and they start sleeping through the night. Obvious wins. But then comes a whole buttload of other stuff to deal with. Tantrums. Bullying. Bed wetting. Picky eating. Biting. Puberty for fuck sake!

Basically there’s never NOT problems to deal with, no matter what age your kids are.

2. It doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger.
Following up on point number one, if at any time it feels like things are getting easier, it’s because you have worked those mommy muscles and learned the tricks that make your days do-able. Go you!

And if you don’t feel like things are getting any easier, it definitely doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It just means your muscles are still in training mode. (Oh – and I’m here to help you train them up BYW!).

3. You don’t have to suffer through any stage or age your kids are in.
Saying that you’re just going to wait for them to get older is a total cop out. Sorry I’m not sorry.

You don’t have to spend every day hating motherhood and just waiting for things to get easier! Take control of your life and do the work it takes to build those muscles (point 2).

You can turn things around and actually ENJOY every age. It takes some mindset work to get there, but luckily you’ve found the right place to help you get started 😉

Let’s make this motherhood thing fun no matter how old your kids are, Mama!
